Amy Lucille Christmas, age 45, resident of Fairhope, Alabama, passed away Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017.

Amy completed her undergraduate degree at Loyola University in New Orleans and went on to medical school at the University of Texas in Houston. She completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas in San Antonio.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Fairhope.

Amy loved her children, husband, and life. One of her many passions was running and watching sunsets. She was a dedicated ophthalmologist at Southern Eye Group in Fairhope.

She is survived by her husband, Scott Christmas of Fairhope; children, Houston Prewett, Ella Prewett, Kaylea Christmas and Sunshine, all of Fairhope; parents, Richard and Ann Mize of Houston, Texas; sister, Molly Atlas (Scott); niece and nephew, Carter and Rachael Atlas, all of Houston, Texas; in-laws, Joan and Charlie Christmas of Mobile, Alabama; sister-in-law, Lisa Prunkl (John) of Marietta, Georgia; brother-in-law, Patrick Christmas (Kelsey) of Winter Park, Florida; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Fairhope.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow in Point Clear Cemetery.
