Students at Bay Minette Elementary School will start school off with a surprise: brand new backpacks.
The Women Ministries Union at First Baptist Church recently donated the backpacks to the school.
Through a supply drive, the school's PTO is collecting much-needed items. Items needed include copy paper, cardstock, scissors, colored pencils, paper towels, Ziploc bags and tissues. Donations can be dropped off or mailed to the school office at 400 E. 9th St., Bay Minette, AL 36507.
