Historic Blakeley State Park will host its second Battlefield Blitz 5K and Fun Run on Jan. 25.

The cross country 5K course follows the well-used trails of the Park’s Battlefield. The Fun Run is one-mile trail run/walk.

Register by mail (entries should be postmarked by Jan. 18), online at Eventbrite.com, or in person at McCoy Outdoor, Run-N-Tri, or Fleet Feet in Mobile or Running Wild in Fairhope until noon on Thursday, Jan. 23. Cost to register for the 5K is $20 for adults and $15 for children. Cost for Fun Run is $15 for adults, $10 for children.

Packet pick-up and race day registration will be at Historic Blakeley State Park from 6:30 - 7:45 a.m.

Awards will be given to: top male and female Overall, Masters, Grandmasters, and Senior Grandmasters. Top three male and female runners in these age groups: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 34-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69,70-99.

To guarantee a shirt on race day, please register by Jan. 18. After that date, registrants will receive shirts as long as supplies last.

Post-race party will include music, food, beverages, door prizes and awards.
