MAGNOLIA SPRINGS — The body of a Gulf Shores woman, who was reported missing by her family after she was last seen on March 28, was found Monday in her crashed car near Magnolia Springs.

According to a release issued Tuesday by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Alabama State Troopers were summoned by the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office just before 4 p.m. on Monday, April 1 to the scene of a single-vehicle crash on U.S. 98, near County Road 9, west of Magnolia Springs.

ALEA officials report that Amanda Noelle Harrison LeBrecque, 33, of Gulf Shores, was pronounced dead at the scene. She was traveling west on U.S. 98 near County Road 9 when authorities say her 2016 Kia Soul left the roadway and struck a tree.

Authorities believe the crash occurred on Friday, March 29, but went undiscovered because the wreckage was hidden from view by heavy vegetation.

LeBrecque – who had been reported missing by her family after reports say she was last seen at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center on Thursday, March 28 – was wearing a seat belt, according to the release.

Alabama State Troops are continuing to investigate the crash.
