Joseph Clarence Fell, age 68, a resident of Lillian, Alabama, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2019.

He was a devoted Christian who deeply loved the Lord.

A loving husband to his wife, Renee, who he had just celebrated 40 years of marriage this past December. He was also devoted father to his four kids, and his grandchildren were his world.

Daddy loved the Lord and it was important to him that his children and grandchildren did as well. Next to the Lord, his family were the most important thing in his life, as it should be.

Daddy valued hard work. He worked for over 35 years for his brother, Gene Fell.

He was an excellent cook. His gumbo was hands down the best, and he loved to eat. A true Southerner, his favorite meal was black-eyed peas, fried okra and fresh-fried mullet.

He also really enjoyed playing the guitar and often talked of how he was going to teach his youngest grandson he fondly called "Beaudreux" how to play.

Daddy served for a short time in the Army and was a lifelong member of Berean Baptist Church in Elberta.

Daddy loved to talk and never met a stranger. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

It is a comfort to know that Daddy is finally Home with the Lord and that his hard work is now over and that he can finally be in glory with his Momma, Daddy and Brothers.

We love you, Daddy! You were one of a kind and we will forever miss you.

Preceded in death by his father, Russell Clarence Fell; mother, Savine Lewis Fell; brothers, Clinton Doyle Fell, James Wilton Wallace; stepson, Jerry Buford Lassiter; and niece, Rebecca Lynn Fell.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Renee Fell; son, Danny Fell; daughters, Stephanie (Chad) Porter, Mandy (Matt) Hayles, Heather Fell; stepson, Jason (Tina) Lassiter; grandchildren, Caleb Lassiter, Dalton Lassiter, Wyatt Lassiter, Alivia Porter and Matthew (Beaudreux) Hayles; brother, Gene (Emma) Fell; nephew, Billy Harris; and many other relatives and friends.
