Joy Reynolds Lenz, age 86, a resident of Daphne, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2019 at home surrounded by her children, after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
She was an active member of Jubilee Baptist Church, P.A.L.S, and a former member of a local Mardi Gras mystic society; a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She was preceded in death by her first husband of 37 years, Roy Reynolds; her second husband of 21 years, George Lenz; four brothers; and one sister.
Joy is survived by her daughters, Diane Garza (Fred) of Daphne and Vicki Shull (Mark) of Gulf Breeze, Florida; and son, Robert R. Reynolds Jr. (Marian) of Daphne; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Marie Slay and Betty Johnson; brother, A.B. Crow; her dear companion, Paul Smith; and her dog, Pepper.
A celebration of Joy's life will be held Monday, Dec. 2, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m.
Interment will be held at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
Per Joy's wishes, friends and family should wear bright colors to celebrate her life.
