Hannah Evans has been recognized for her cross country performance. The University of Montevallo senior was named to the NCAA Division II South Region team after placing 14th in the regional championship 6K.

MONTEVALLO, Ala. — Hannah Evans has been recognized for her cross country performance. The University of Montevallo senior was named to the NCAA Division II South Region team after placing 14th in the regional championship 6K.

The Fairhope High School graduate was second among the Falcons. Evans was named to the All-Gulf South Conference first team after finishing fifth in the conference championship 5K.

MORE WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY
Junior Kaleigh Akers was fifth among Mississippi College's entries in the Division II South Region meet, where the team placed ninth. The Daphne High product finished in 24 minutes, 20.50 seconds.


WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
William Carey University senior guard Latia Pullum had seven points and five rebounds in the opener. The Baldwin County High graduate added four assists.
Talladega College senior Raven Priolo had seven rebounds and a blocked shot against Carver Bible College. She played for Fairhope.
Formerly at Spanish Fort, Rose Gul is a freshman guard for Neosho County Community College.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL
Spanish Fort graduate Carley Hamric was named to the all-Southern States Athletic Conference second team and All-Freshman team. The middle blocker helped University of Mobile win its first conference championship in the program's history. She entered the week 10th in the conference and third on the team in blocks.

MEN'S BASKETBALL

Stillman College senior Rafael Adams led all players with nine rebounds and four blocked shots in a win over Mobile. The past Lion had 12 points.
Deontaye Buskey started the Charleston Southern University opener. The freshman guard out of Daphne High had four points, two rebounds and two assists.
Murray State University freshman Tevin Brown had eight points and one rebound in the opener. He played for Fairhope.
Redshirt senior Reagan Eubanks had 10 points for Auburn University at Montgomery against Claflin. The previous Toro had four rebounds.
