The Optimist Club of Perdido Bay hosted its annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Breakfast in Lillian on April 7. Both Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall and Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Lyn Stuart were in attendance for the event. The club also recognized several Law Enforcement Officer of the Year candidates, with the awards going to Baldwin County Sheriff's Corporal Mike Walker and Fairhope Police Lieutenant Stephanie Hollinghead. Jim Harmon of the Baldwin County Sheriff's Boys Ranch was recognized as Citizen of the Year.
