LOXLEY, Alabama — A 23-year-old Loxley woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash over the weekend, according to a release issued by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Kayla Marie Weaver was killed when the 2004 Hyundai Sonata she was driving left the roadway, overturned and struck a tree at approximately 4:15 a.m. Saturday on U.S. 90 near the 50-mile marker, approximately two miles west of Loxley.
Weaver was pronounced dead at the scene. Although the circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation, speed is believed to be a factor.
Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
