ROBERTSDALE, Alabama -- The Mobile Renaissance Faire & Pirate Festival was held Nov. 16-17 at Medieval Village, 30510 Osprey Lane, located north of the Wilcox Road exit of Interstate 10, Robertsdale.
The festival, held each year on the third week of November, is a fun and learning experience of the middle ages. It is a time when young and old dress up as renaissance characters (not required) and head out for an exciting weekend full of history, music, food, arts, crafts and games.
Live entertainment is featured on five stages, along with a jousting tournament, live shows, medieval games of skill, historic learning demonstrations and streets scattered with noble knights, goddess princesses, dragon slayers, mighty kings, wizards and many more medieval characters.
