BAY MINETTE, Ala. - CONGRATULATIONS: Baldwin County High School had two athletes – Maddie Beaver and Ferris Ronquille - selected for the Alabama High School Athletic Association North-South All-Star Soccer games, held last night (July 21) in Montgomery.
Coach Matt Becker traveled to cheer them on, along with several other Tiger fans.
Beckett said it was an honor and a blessing getting to see them play at that level, even if the outcome of both games was not in their favor.
"Honestly, the scores meant very little. Having the opportunity to play in the All-Star games was a victory in itself. And history was made at BCHS as this is the first time both a girl and a boy played in the Soccer All-Star games in the same year! We’re all proud of you Maddie and Ferris!"
