11 charged in ongoing, 2-year drug trafficking investigation

On Nov, 29, Foley Police Department, FBI Mobile, Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Gulf Shores Police Department and Homeland Security Investigation (HSI) executed search warrants and arrest operation in the Aaronville Community in Foley.

Upon execution of the search warrants, drugs and other evidence were seized and are being processed, During the operation, 11 persons were arrested and charged with various crimes to include drug trafficking, possession of controlled substances and firearm-related charges. Several more arrests are still pending at this time.

“Our residents enjoy a safe community,” said Foley Police Chief David Wilson. “However, when you have a group of subjects spring up and start selling drugs in any of our communities, it is something we care about and take a keen interest in. Overall, it may not be today and it may not be tomorrow, but it is just a matter of time before we arrest you. I would like to send this message again to people who bring crime to our city; they will have the full resources of law enforcement pursue them. This was carried out in reality by the law enforcement team assemble to make this sweep today. Federal, state and local agencies moved out today in arrest teams and were very successful in their jobs, without incident or injury. I appreciate the teamwork and collaborative efforts of the different agencies involved that came together for this operation.”

This arrest operation is the first wave of an ongoing, two-year drug trafficking investigation.

“Today was yet another example of the impressive law enforcement cooperation and teamwork we have in Baldwin County,” said Baldwin County Sheriff Hoss Mack. “In terms of public safety, all police officers, deputies, agents and other law enforcement combine their skills and resources to ensure the blessed quality of life we have in this county.”

The those charged are as follows: DeMarkis Adams, 37, is charged with two counts of unlawful distribution of controlled substance. Lennie Armstrong, 33, is charged with unlawful distribution of controlled substance. Ben Jackson, 38, is charged with unlawful distribution of controlled substance. Frank Jones, 63, is charged with two counts of unlawful distribution of controlled substance and unlawful possession of controlled substance. Ralph Mabon, 38, is charged with unlawful distribution of controlled substance. Quinneisha Odom, 31, is charged with four counts of unlawful distribution of controlled substance. Wesley Williams, 40, is charged with two counts of unlawful distribution of controlled substance. Eddie Golden, 34, is charged with unlawful possession of controlled substance. Trexie Robinson, 48, is charged with unlawful possession of controlled substance. Eddie Lee Jones, 63, is charged with unlawful distribution of controlled substance. Corinthius Woodard, 21, is charged with discharge of firearm into an occupied dwelling/vehicle.

“The FBI is dedicated to helping keep Baldwin County and our region a safe place to live,” said Special Agent in charge of the Mobile FBI Rob Lasky. “Today’s operation reflects the spirit of cooperation and teamwork with all law enforcement partners that made successes like this possible.”

At this time, this case is still under investigation. No other information will be released due to the ongoing investigation by federal and local police authorities.
