The Foley Boys Soccer team won it all in the fourth and final game of the Buccaneer Bash JV tournament when they defeated Fairhope 3-1.

FAIRHOPE, Ala. — On Friday Foley's JV defeated Spanish Fort 5-0 Friday in the first game of the Buccaneer Bash hosted by Fairhope High. Scoring in that game was Edlen Meza with 2 goals, Ben Cleverdon with 2 goals, and Josh Biggs with 1 goal. Playing in the middle were Jaime Villa, Francisco Hernandez, and Jaci Enriquez. Providing support at wing were Erick Lopez and Rudy Morales. Turning in a solid effort in back were Jose Silva, and Jorge Mercado along with goalie Juan Nava-Cerro. In their second game Foley defeated Davidson team 2-1. Foley prevailed with defensive effort and up top efforts by forwards Cleverdon and Meza. Cleverdon scored two goals with assists from Villa and Meza.
The Foley JV Boys also defeated McGill-Toolen Catholic 4-2 Thursday night at the HWY 98 Complex. Foley forwards Ben Cleverdon and Edlen Meza each had one goal. Mid-fielder Javier Reyes scored one along with wing Rudy Morales. The defensive effort was controlled by goalie Juan Nava-Cerro and backs Jose Silva, Jorge Mercado, and Dylan Chambers. The JV Lions improved their record to 2-0 with a fantastic win over a once undefeated Yellow Jacket team.
The Lions also defeated Daphne 6-0. Four Lions scored with Cleverdon and Villa getting two goals each while Meza and Javier Reyes scoring one each. Notable play on the back end was provided by Jonathan Arellano, Silva, and Mercado.

The mid-field, lead by Villa, along with a defense lead by Nava-Cerro secured the victory. Notable play by backs Jonathan Arellano, Mercado, and Silva, and mid-fielders and wings Morales and Cole Hickman helped.
