Gavin Geoffrey Cain, a resident of Fish River, Fairhope, Alabama, passed away Friday, March 3, 2017. He was attended by his faithful wife of 50 years, Geraldine Leavins Cain; his loving brother, Kenneth Conan Cain; and a host of caring friends.

He was born Dec. 28, 1940.

Geoff was predeceased by his father, Kenneth Ramon Cain; and mother, Dorothy Beiser Cain.

He is survived by numerous family members.

Geoff graduated high school in 1959 from the Organic School in Fairhope Alabama. He also attended college in Mississippi.

Geoff was dedicated to his faith, his family and countless friends.

Although conflicted throughout his lifetime with very serious illnesses and complicated surgeries, Geoff maintained a very productive lifestyle.

Devoting a lifetime to the business community, it might be said that Geoff was instrumental in promoting growth to the city of Fairhope through his unique manufacturing business, which was begun by his father. Geoff designed, manufactured and marketed coin-operated telescopes to companies and sightseeing locations throughout the world.

Geoff had an insatiable desire to make friends everywhere. He was hospitable and benevolent in every situation he encountered. His generosity will be remembered by countless people who knew him, as well as by many who knew of him.

A memorial service for Geoff will be held at Centennial Hall Auditorium, Faulkner Campus, Fairhope Alabama, (School Street), Saturday, March 11, at 1 p.m. officiated by Minister Paul Duvernet, who serves in a congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in New Orleans, Louisiana. Celebration of Geoff's life to follow at Centennial Hall.
