Henry Warren Robbins, age 84, a native of Columbia, Mississippi and a resident of Fairhope for nearly 50 years, passed away Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017.

Mr. Robbins joined the United States Air Force from high school and served with distinction stationed in Germany.

After leaving the Air Force, he later joined State Farm Insurance Co. in 1960, earning numerous awards before retiring, and having served as an agency manager for 35 years.

He was actively involved in and a Century Heritage Member of the Fairhope Yacht Club and was revered and loved by so many members over the years, known for his quick wit, positive attitude and apt advice.

He truly loved life, was an avid golfer, playing many courses throughout the United States, and was a dedicated walker and fantastic cook.

Known for his love of Family, Country and Fairhope, he will be lovingly remembered and missed by his family, numerous friends at the Fairhope Yacht Club, walking group at the Fairhope Pier, golfing friends, and many others, in and beyond Fairhope.

He is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Luttrell Robbins; daughters, Diane Robbins Reid (John), and Brenda Robbins; sister, Scottie Robbins Ball; and many other relatives and friends.

Private graveside services were provided by Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home of Fairhope at Memory Gardens of Fairhope Cemetery, Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Boys & Girls Ranches of Alabama.
