MCU asking for public's help with murder in Foley area last week

The Baldwin County Major Crimes Unit met Jan. 31 about the homicide that occurred in the Foley area last Thursday, Jan. 26.  Christopher Paul Corson was arrested for the murder of Adell Darlene Rawlins and is in custody at the Baldwin County Corrections Center.  The findings of the autopsy of Rawlins revealed the manner of death was homicide and the cause of her death was a single gunshot wound to her head.  A .38 caliber revolver was discovered in the vehicle and that pistol is believed to be the murder weapon.

The Major Crimes Unit is asking the public for assistance is locating a Reebok pink and gray woman’s athletic shoe. The shoe belongs to the victim of the homicide and is believe to be in the Foley or Summerdale area perhaps on a road just off Highway 59.  If located, please call the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office at 251-937-0202.

FOLEY — A Bay Minette man is being charged with murder in the death of a Robertsdale woman after her body was discovered in his vehicle at a business in Foley.
According to a release issued Friday by the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Department investigations command, Christopher Paul Corson, 36, of Dyas Court in Bay Minette is being charged with murder in the death of Adell Darlene Rawlins of Robertsdale.
On Thursday, the Baldwin County Major Crimes Unit was requested to respond to Highway 59 in Foley to a possible homicide. At approximately 6:10 p.m. Foley Police received a call from a witness that was following a small white SUV south bound on Highway 59 from the Foley Beach Express.
The witness advised Foley PD that there was blood coming from the rear of the vehicle. Foley Police responded and found the vehicle in the parking lot of Hoods Discount Home Center at 1918 N. McKenzie St.
As officers approached the vehicle they observed the driver was covered in blood and upon further inspection of the vehicle officers saw what appeared to be a body in the rear of the SUV as they peered into the rear window.
According to jail records, Corson was booked into the Baldwin County Corrections Facility at 1:24 a.m. on Friday, charged with murder. He is in jail on a $1.5 million bond.
Around 8:30 p.m. Thursday night, Foley Police Chief David Wilson confirmed a car was stopped, traveling through Foley from another location and had a dead body in it. The Major Crimes Unit of Baldwin County was activated to investigate.
The investigation into this incident continues and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
