Rocco Charles Valluzzo Jr. died peacefully at his home in Fairhope, Alabama Feb. 28, 2017.

Mr. Valluzzo was born in Battle Creek, Michigan to Dr. R.C. Valluzzo, a former dentist and one of the original McDonald's franchise owners and Mickie Shilling Valluzzo.

Mr. Valluzzo graduated from Baton Rouge Catholic High and attended Baylor University before himself becoming an Eastern Shore McDonald's owner-operator and an owner-operator of Microtel Inn and Suites.

Rocco Valluzzo Jr., a former Rotarian, was an active supporter and volunteer of many area social services and hospitals.

He is survived by his son, Rocco Valluzzo III; and daughter, Ashleigh Ann Valluzzo; the mother of his children, Bari Walton Valluzzo; brothers, Charles Locke Valluzzo of Baton Rouge, Robert Vaughn Valluzzo of Seattle; and a sister, Jacqueline Valluzzo of New York; as well as loving grand-and great-nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 4, 2017 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Fairhope, from 5 until 7 p.m., with rosary at 6 p.m.

Mass will be held Monday, March 6, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with visitation one hour prior to the service time.

Interment to follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
