BAY MINETTE, Alabama — North Baldwin schools will once again come together to put on the Third Annual Tiger Nation Fall Festival. The event will be held 4 to 8 p.m. Oct. 22 on the front lawn of Baldwin County High School. Activities will include lots of festival games, good food, a Zombie Run and entertainment suitable for the whole family.

The Fall Festival is sponsored by the 21st Century Afterschool Programs at BCHS, Bay Minette Elementary, Delta Elementary and Pine Grove Elementary schools.

Wristbands will be sold for $5 each for admission in a special zone featuring numerous inflatables/jump houses, slides and games. Participating schools and organizations will also have game booths set up charging a nominal fee. These activities will include face painting, corn hole, edge slide, dunking booth, rock wall, zorb ball racer and a trackless train, among others.

BMIS teacher Michele J. Hall is coordinating the event and said it is a time for the community and its schools to come together for a good time, and to help raise funds for each of the school groups.

“Tiger Nation Fall Festival is a community wide event to provide fun, family-oriented activities for North Baldwin schools and community organizations. We look forward to another exciting Tiger Nation Fall Festival to support North Baldwin Schools,” Hall said.

Participating schools include Delta Elementary, Bay Minette Middle, Baldwin County High, Bay Minette Intermediate and Pine Grove Elementary. The North Baldwin Coalition for Excellence in Education and the Junior Ambassadors with the North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce will also be taking part in the festival.

NBCEE will conduct the Zombie Run, beginning at 4 p.m. Advance registration is $10 for the 1-mile fun run and will be $15 on the day of the event. The first 75 registrants are guaranteed a T-shirt. Registration forms will be send home with students and will also be available at Bay Minette City Hall.

The Zombie Run participants are encouraged to dress up in their favorite costumes for this year’s event. Prizes will be awarded for the top three overall male and female runners as well as for best costumes.

Food and drinks will be available for purchase throughout the evening.

The fall festival is sponsored by the 21st Century Community Learning Center Afterschool Programs as a part of the Lights On Afterschool initiative, a nation-wide event celebrating afterschool programs and their important roles in the lives of children, families, and communities. Baldwin County 21st CCLC Afterschool Programs encourage parent involvement and community partnerships to ensure that students are successful in school, as well as developing into productive, reliable citizens.
