BAY MINETTE, Ala. — The Sun Chief women's volleyball team wrapped up September with a 3-0 Alabama Community College Conference win over Snead State. Faulkner State swept the SSCC Parsons 25-14, 25-17, 25-18 in Bay Minette Wednesday night.
Offensively the Sun Chiefs attack yielded a 30-18 kill advantage led by Tatiana Bell-Dale and Lydia Stanley with seven kills each and Mikayla Richards with six. Hannah Fernandez added four. Bell-Dale had 10 digs, Richard had 11 and Jacqueline Copeland added eight. Carley Hill served four aces for Faulkner State. The Parsons were led by Mattie Putman with 10 kills.
FSCC takes a 6-1 conference and 8-3 record overall into October with a four-match win streak. The Sun Chiefs are second in the ACCC South behind undefeated (7-0) Wallace State of Hanceville.
Faulkner travels to WCC Monday in Selma (5:30 p.m.) and returns to Bay Minette for a two-match home stand with Lawson State Oct. 6 (6 p.m.) and Wallace of Selma again at home Oct. 7 (7 p.m.).
