Adopt BCHM for a day

Posted

The Baldwin County Heritage Museum Board of Directors and members have discovered a fun way to involve you in the museum's operations. Adopt the museum for a day.

It costs roughly $55 dollars a day to operate the museum. This amount which is just for utilities, security and insurance, based on costs from 2015, does not include wages, repairs, supplies, etc. Starting Sept. 1, they challenge you to pick a day to "Adopt BCHM for a Day."

By covering the cost of operations for one day, you will be enabling BCHM to continue its mission and provide a secure place for Baldwin County's heritage. Museum officials will let everyone know you are covering the operation costs on your chosen day on a board at the museum as well as social media.

If you like you can come to the museum that day as a guest host/hostess. You can also use this day as a way to memorialize a special person or event.

Please send your check to Baldwin County Heritage Museum, P.O. Box 356, Elberta, AL 36530 and indicate on the "memo" line which day you would like to adopt BCHM. Be sure to include a note to let us know who to recognize as that day's supporter. Or contact the museum directly for other options.

BCHM also accepts most major credit cards. If you like, you may deliver the donation to the museum Wednesday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Any excuse to visit is a good excuse.
