BAY MINETTE, Ala.  - Baldwin County High School's Adrian Cook has inked a softball scholarship with Coastal Alabama Community College in Monroeville.

Adrian has been a member of the BCHS Lad Tigers for six years. She maintains a 4.0 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society.

Lady Tigers head coach Anthony Cox said she is a leader on an off the field.\

"Adrian is the type of student-athlete that a coach would want in a program. “And she helped lead our team to the State Tournament (Elite 8) and a top-10 ranking in the ASWA 6A Softball Rankings last year."

Last season, Cook pitched and played outfield for the Lady Tigers. Her 2019 pitching stats include a 4-1 record, 1.07 ERA, 16 strikeouts, 3 walks. In 2019, she had a .290 batting average, 15 RBIs and 20 runs scored.

Coach Cox also said she will again be on the pitcher’s mound and will play second base in the 2020 season.

"We are extremely proud of Adrian,” he said. “She is a selfless player that will play anywhere on the field that we ask her. She is dependable, trustworthy and coachable. Her parents Patrick and Leta Cook have done a great job raising an outstanding young lady."
