FOLEY – Looking for a place to enjoy concerts along with fellow music lovers? Soon you won’t have to look further than Foley, as the Alabama Gulf Coast Music Hall is preparing to celebrate its grand opening on New Years Eve with a party to ring in 2019.

The New Years event will take place beginning at 6 p.m. on Dec. 31, with “The Human Jukebox” with Don & Shane performing until 7:30. Dinner will be served during this portion. Then, beginning at 8 p.m. will be “Elvis Remembered” featuring Shane Tucker, followed at 9 by The Promised Land Band, who will continue leading a dance party until the new year. Tickets offered will include $50 advance, $60 at the door for dinner, all bands, and dancing, or $20 advance and $25 at the door for dancing only after 9. Tables reserved for eight are also available for $400.

Immediately following the grand opening, the Music Hall has a live performance schedule running through January and February, including local bands as well as traveling acts. Some nights offer special dinners, from steak night to Valentine’s Dinner and Dance on Feb. 14. A concession stand will always be available during every performance.

According to the website, “Our vision is to bring quality family-style musical entertainment to the coastal area of South Baldwin County. With decades of experience in the music and entertainment industry, the management of Alabama Gulf Coast Music Hall will be bringing in well-known national acts as well as acts known locally.”

The schedule includes Cherry Pie, Rockabillies, Dakota, Branson on the Road, Johnny Counterfeit Show, and Dick Hardwick Show. Future plans include hosting songwriters’ competitions.

The theater seats 800 people, and has been designed for an optimal sound experience. The music hall will also be available to rent for special events during the week. A “Gold Membership Club” is available, offering discounts on tickets to music hall sponsored shows and events, discounts and specials at concession and souvenir stand, special rates on private bookings, participation in planning and advising entertainment types and events. Members will receive a membership certificate and a membership gold card.

Show-tickets as well as season-tickets will be easy to obtain at the door, or you can order advance tickets by phone, email, or mail. Discounts will be available for group purchasing.
