Alfred Walter McCoy Jr., age 66, a resident of Fairhope, passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2018.
He was a Bible scholar, an avid golfer and a big Alabama fan. He played basketball for South Alabama, and was a great musician and singer.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Deborah D. McCoy of Fairhope; son, Benjamin C. McCoy (Adriene) of Wilmington, North Carolina; daughters, Dawn McCoy of Wilmington, North Carolina and Miriam Frances McCoy of Fairhope; sister, Paige Peek (Sam) of Destin, Florida; niece, Holly Peek of Boston, Massachusetts; many other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 20, 2018 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Fairhope.
The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. until time of service.
Interment will follow in Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
Donations may be made to First Baptist Church, Fairhope.
