Posted

FOLEY - The Foley Police Department along with the Foley Fire Department responded to Foley High School at 1 Pride Drive at approximately 8:30am for a report of a fire in a hallway bathroom. The fire was quickly extinguished with no students, faculty, or first responders injured. Heavy smoke required all students to be evacuated and remain outside until it was safe for them to return to the building. A 15-year-old student was detained and questioned by Foley Police Detectives and a Deputy State Fire Marshall. The student was subsequently charged with Arson 1st for starting a fire in the bathroom and was transferred to the Juvenile Detention Center.
