FOLEY - Lynne Hilton, author of Callie Comes Home, was treated to a reception at the Foley Art Center on Thur., Sept. 12. The event included live singing, dancing, refreshments, and a book reading given by Hilton.

Hilton is a writer, speaker, choreographer and dance teacher. She has taught students who went on to place in local and state pageants, win talent competitions, and receive scholarships with dance companies. Hilton took her passion for the arts and turned it into a career, and has written and produced a number of theater productions as well as opening multiple dance studios. In 2007, she was awarded the title of Ms. Senior Baldwin County.

Throughout her career in the arts, Callie Comes Home is her first fictional novel to be submitted for publication, and Hilton states it is a work of love that others will be able to relate to concerning obstacles in their lives.

Hilton’s book is now on sale at the Foley Art Center. To learn more, check out their website at foleyartcenter.com or follow them on Facebook. Come in to purchase Callie Comes Home and to check out all the local art for sale: 211 North McKenzie Street.
