Baldwin County EMA director resigns

Baldwin County Emergency Management Agency Director Reggie Chitwood has announced his resignation, effective today.

Chitwood began his tenure as EMA director April 1, 2015. Before becoming EMA director, Chitwood served 26 years with the Arkansas Highway Police and had also served in several leadership roles, which included National Vice Commander for the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary - Civil Air Patrol.

Per the county’s regulations Assistant Director Jessie Peacock will fill the role of director as the county potentially searches for a new director.
