Baldwin EMC is excited to announce the latest recipient of the Shining Star Student award. The students were nominated for displaying the Touchstone Energy characteristics of integrity, innovation, accountability and commitment to community.

Addison Roach, a seventh-grade student at Orange Beach Middle School, was named Baldwin EMC’s Shining Star Student of the Month for September. She was nominated by faculty member Susan Norrell.

Norrell wrote in her nomination, “Addison is a sweet spirited young lady who always includes everyone. I have witnessed Addison’s peer leadership by the way she treats others. She is always smiling and keeps a positive attitude throughout her day here at OBMS. Addison is proactive and not afraid to go after leadership roles. She is determined to do her best, and will persevere, determined to not give up.” Roach was presented with a Shining Star Student certificate and a $50 Visa gift card.

The awards were presented by WALA FOX 10 TV’s meteorologist Michael White, who also delivered a weather presentation to each recipient’s class.
