Bay Minette native Kirk Jay is thrilled to announce the release of the debut EP Temporary Pain available everywhere on Feb. 1.

Temporary Pain is an extended play (EP) consisting of three country pop singles: “Why Didn’t You;” “Thank God For You;” and “This Side of Heaven.”

The Single “Why Didn’t You” was written and produced by Grammy Award winning country songwriter and producer Frank Joseph Myers and Lonestar’s Richie McDonald.

Frank Myers has written and produced award winning singles such as “I Swear,” and “I’m Already There”: two songs of which Jay performed and received standing ovations during his time on The Voice.

Jay is currently an independent country-pop artist who has worked diligently and tirelessly to release a body of work that not only represents his own style and stamp in country music, but that will also fulfil the high expectations of his fans.

Since his time on The Voice, Jay has continued to travel and perform many country classics that has allowed him to stand out from other independent artists. Continuing to use the advice from his former coach and mentor Blake Shelton, Jay is excited to continue to perform all over and now introduce his own original music in addition to the songs he’s well-known for singing.

Currently, Jay is scheduled to perform more in the Atlanta, Georgia, area. Two of his highly anticipated performances, of which where fans can come and enjoy him singing his original music live for the first time will be:

Feb. 12 at Best End Brewing, Atlanta.

Feb. 13 at The Power Entertainment Networking Project (entertainment networking event) at Classic Film Studios in Tucker, Georgia.
