The Baldwin Pops Band will present an Independence Day concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 4 at Henry George Park in Fairhope. The band will be joined by the Eastern Shore Choral Society for several selections.

Conductor Dr. Roger Jones and the Baldwin Pops Band will entertain the audience with musical selections including America the Beautiful, Fairest of the Fair, and the National Anthem. Current and veteran members of the armed forces will be recognized during an Armed Forces Salute.

The Eastern Shore Choral Society, directed by Mary Katherine Kilgore, will sing Battle Hymn of the Republic, God Bless America, and Let Freedom Ring.

Guest Conductor Dr. Jason Rinehart, from the University of South Alabama, will conduct Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack highlights, Land of Liberty, and Light Cavalry Overture.

The concert will include a children's march with flags after intermission and the "Checkered Tablecloth Award" will be presented during intermission to the person or group with the most interesting picnic setup. Bring picnic suppers and chairs or blankets.

There will be a short break following the concert. The band, directed by Randy Davis, will accompany the fireworks display with marches starting at 9 p.m.
