Ballyhoo Festival 2021 canceled; organizers focus on 2022

Another annual event falls prey to the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic. Organizers of the Ballyhoo Festival made the announcement the festival was canceled on Facebook.

The statement read:

“Due to the uncertainty of the status of the current pandemic this winter and into spring, we have decided to concentrate on Ballyhoo 2022, March 5 – 6. This decision was not made lightly. Many of our sponsors have been adversely affected and we feel that approaching them at this time would not be adhering to our goal, which is providing an event that not only promotes fine art, but cultural exchange, our beautiful area and its businesses and nonprofit entities. So, here’s to you, Ballyhoo '22.”

The Ballyhoo Festival is a family friendly event with fine art vendors, live music, delicious food, performances by the Poarch Band of Creek Indians, Fiddle and Banjo Competitions in partnership with the Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival and Flora-Bama, hands-on children's activities and more. The Ballyhoo Festival features great vendors with a wide variety of original art portrayed in paintings, pottery, jewelry, metal art, wood carving, textile art and mixed media.
