Barbara Ann Owen died March 14, 2017.
Barbara was born Dec. 6, 1937 in Attala, Alabama. Barbara and David moved to the Gulf Coast in 1986.
She was employed by the Gulf Coast Convention and Visitors Bureau for 15 years and retired upon the diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease. She then spent most of her time enjoying her family and her dog, Charlie Brown.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, David Owen; one son, Todd Owen (DeeDee); three grandchildren, Missy Rowell (Blake), Maria and Matthew Owen; two great-grandchildren, Anderson and Weslyn Rowell; a sister, Sue Bailey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Barto Jones and Elva Burns Jones; sisters, Mary, Margie Maxine and Jeanette; and brothers, Russell Earl Jones and Billy Morris Jones.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 1 p.m. from Pine Rest Memorial Park in Foley, Alabama.
