Troop 8306 held its Award Ceremony at Crossroad's Volunteer Fire Department Station 1 in Bay Minette on Sunday, Nov. 5.

The girls received their troop level tabs and membership pins. Five girls received the Bronze Award. The Bronze Award is the highest award that a Junior Girl Scout can earn.

In order to receive the award, the girls had to plan and complete a service project. The Juniors of Troop 8306 cleaned, power washed and repainted the helicopter pad located at the CRVFD Station 1.

Those that received the Bronze Award are: Angelina Grubbs, Zoie Vernon, Jasmine McCants, Lucy Satterfield and Danielle Murphy.

As a surprise to the girls, during the ceremony Air Care came to do training with the new members of the CRVFD. The girls were able to see the helicopter land on their newly painted pad and get a quick picture before it had to leave.
