Bay Minette to host Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast, Amos Alliance

BAY MINETTE,  Alabama — The Mayor’s Prayer its monthly Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 14 at in the council chambers at City Hall, 301 D’Olive St., Bay Minette. Participants are asked to enter by the doors on D’Olive Street.

Amos Alliance, an hour-long monthly discussion based on Amos 3:3, “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” will be held following the prayer breakfast beginning at 9 a.m.

“As Christ followers we are called to live in harmony and unity especially within the body of Christ,” according to an email release sent out Wednesday, Sept. 9. “With the recent public crisis in race relations we would like to suggest having an extended time of open and honest dialogue following the normal time set aside for our Mayor's Prayer Breakfast.

“We simply desire to encourage the continued positive relationships we believe we have built across racial lines within our community as a result of our Mayor's Prayer Breakfast ministry. We want everyone to know you are loved, you are heard, and that this is a safe place to express any personal cares and concerns without fear of any form of prejudice or discrimination.

“We want to ‘walk together’ as shining examples of God’s grace before a world caught up in this moment of crisis.

Cookies, juice, bottled water and coffee will be served. All participants are asked to wear a mask.
