MOBILE, Ala.— Cottage Hill Christian scored first to take a 6-0 lead over visiting Bayside Academy, but the Admirals bounced back with 41-unanswered points to take a Class 3A, Region 1 victory over the Warriors in West Mobile Friday night.

Bayside senior Seth Shirley ran for three touchdowns, including a 48 yard foot race to lead the Admirals attack at Cottage Hill Christian Academy’s Charles V. Lang Stadium. The Admirals picked up their fourth region win and improved to 5-2, 4-1 to hold steady in the Class 3A standings at No. 2 behind undefeated Mobile Christian. John Douglas also blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown. Bayside’s Reid Norton completed 6-of-7 passes for 118 yards for Bayside.

The Warriors’ (3-4, 2-3) Will Harrington tossed a 68-yard scoring pass to Samario Rudolph for Cottage Hill to avoid the shutout. Up Next: The Admirals will host the T.R. Miller Tigers (5-2, 4-1) coming off a 35-21 win over Flomaton. Cottage Hill travels to Hillcrest-Evergreen (2-4, 2-5) which fell to Mobile Christian 31- 3.
