Berta Joan Webb Branscomb of Spanish Fort, Alabama, died peacefully Monday, Aug. 28, 2017.
Mrs. Branscomb was born in West Virginia and was formerly of Birmingham and Foley, Alabama.
Joan is survived by her husband of 68 years, William Maurice Branscomb Jr. (retired Episcopal priest); daughter, Mary Ann (Lee) Yates of Birmingham; son, John W.A. (Lisa) Branscomb of Foley; and a sister, Jean Rhoades of West Virginia. Also she is survived by her grandchildren, Jeremy Eddy, Jessica Waid, Morgan McKnight, Morgan, Anna and Sarah Branscomb and Kayla Guise; and great-grandchildren and other relatives.
Joan was preceded in death by a daughter, Jane Elizabeth Branscomb; and granddaughter, Elizabeth Ott.
Witness to the Resurrection service for Joan will be Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Grace Episcopal Church in Birmingham.
