Blessing Box installed outside Foley United Methodist Church for community

The United Methodist Women of the Foley United Methodist Church had a “Blessing Box” installed on the front lawn of the church located on 915 N Pine Street in Foley as a mission to the community. The box is stocked with non-perishable food items and is available 24 hours a day to be utilized by anyone in need of food. The church doesn’t have to be open for people to take items from the box nor do they have to be a member. This is a true ministry to the community! The box was initially stocked with food by the children who participate in the church’s Wednesday night children’s ministry and will continue to be stocked by members of the church. If people in the community want to contribute non-perishable food items to the box they are welcome to come and stock it anytime, and of course, if someone is in need of food they are welcome to come take what they need.

The Foley United Methodist Church is a vibrant church embarking on a great new season of ministry in the Foley community. Beginning Mother’s Day, the church offers three Sunday worship services (7:30 a.m. at the Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores, AL, and an 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. service in the Sanctuary at the church) and has a brand-new children’s ministry.
