Bruce Campbell, age 77, a native and lifelong resident of Robertsdale passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2020. Bruce lived his 9 lives to the fullest! He lived all 77 years within half a mile of the home where he was born. He is a lifetime member of the Robertsdale United Methodist Church & was the "Candy Man" for many children & adults alike. Cattle and row crop farming, as well as, operating heavy equipment, were his life long occupations. His extreme heavy duty, hand made log splitter, the elevator he built on our houseboat, and the belly lawn mower he built as a bush hog to cut the yard were some of his creative pass time masterpieces. Bruce is widely known as the Alligator Man, and many, many folks remember the airboat rides in the 1980's with alligator spotting before airboats became popular in the Mobile Delta. Bruce loved his family dearly and His family appreciates all the Love and Support that has been shown over the past several years, which we will never forget. Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Lucille Campbell and is survived by two daughters, Ruthie Campbell, Emma Lee (Mike) Bundy; two sisters, Kay (Sonny) Hinote, Emma Jean (Ken) Nichols; brother, George Campbell; four grandchildren, Karissa, Kyle, Taylor, Olivia and three great grandchildren, Grady, Tripp and Ellie.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 12, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at the Robertsdale PZK Hall with a visitation from 1:30 p.m. until 3 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in the Baldwin Memorial Cemetery, Robertsdale, AL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Robertsdale United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 866, Robertsdale, AL 36567.
