Bruce Townley Hulse, 69, left this world for the next on Nov. 17, 2016 after a short stint living near his family in Richmond, Virginia.

He leaves behind two sons, Brian and Brad; two grandchildren, Rylan and Camryn Hulse; and many close loving friends too numerous to count.

Bruce was born in Dayton, Ohio on Oct. 31, 1947 but considered Fairhope, Alabama his home from a very young age.

In his younger years, he was an avid water skier, and many people do not know that he was also an amazing artist. Bruce loved to sketch and draw cartoon characters.

As a young adult, he attended trade school to become an electrician. He worked in the residential sector prior to starting his own company then moved into the commercial electrical field working for Bagby and Russell Electric in Mobile, Alabama until he retired.

He was a hardworking man who led by example and always put his family and faith first. His devotion and love for his family and friends was unrivaled.

Bruce had a zest for life and an amazing sense of humor that remained with him as long as his body let him. There is no question that he leaves this world a better place than which he found it.

A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Fairhope, with a private burial to follow.
