CARE House receives donation

BAY MINETTE, Alabama — Alabama Power Foundation has presented an Efficiency Forward grant to CARE House, Baldwin County Child Advocacy Center, in Bay Minette.

The $10,000 grant will be used for energy efficient improvements at the non-profit’s Bay Minette facility. Care House will be replacing their gas heating with energy efficient heat pumps.

Care House was established in 1986 to serve child victims of sexual abuse and severe physical abuse through a coordinated, multi-disciplinary team approach.

Programs and services also include forensic interview, counseling, family advocacy, court preparation, solutions and prevention.

The Child Advocacy Center also offers programs for parents and children experiencing divorce, separation or remarriage.
