Chamber announces Junior Executive scholarship recipients

ROBERTSDALE, Alabama — Six students from Robertsdale High School and Central Christian School were recently presented with scholarships as part of the Chamber’s Junior Executive program.

Brianna Janey was awarded the “Huey Mack Sr. Scholarship” which is donated to the Chamber by the Mack family each year in honor of Huey Mack Sr., one of the founding fathers of the Central Baldwin Chamber.

Maddison Winborne, Ashlee Kendrick, Clair Robbins, Hannah Shelton and Abby McCully were also awarded scholarships through the Junior Executive Program.

Janey, daughter of Chad and Melissa Janey of Robertsdale, is attending Liberty University in Virginia and majoring in graphic design.

Winborne, daughter of Paul and Norma Winborne of Silverhill, is attending the University of South Alabama and majoring in biomedical sciences.

Kendrick, daughter of Brent and Lenora Kendrick of Robertsdale, is attending Judson University and majoring in history.

Robbins, daughter of John and Tracy Robbins of Silverhill, is attending Coastal Alabama and majoring in nursing.

Shelton, daughter of Tim and Sheila Shelton of Silverhill, is attending the University of Mobile and majoring in nursing.

McCully, daughter of Leland and Amy McCully of Silverhill, is attending the University of Mobile and majoring in business management.

The Junior Executive program is designed to give area high school juniors and seniors a chance to enhance their knowledge a develop leadership skills that will empower and motivate them to become involved and committed to their community.
