Delta Dash 5K is Saturday - Registration is closed, but event includes music, food and fun for everyone, runners and their families

BAY MINETTE, Ala. — The 5th annual Delta Dash offers participants the chance to test their endurance, stamina, resilience and quick decision making skills while tackling a terrain that includes mud, multiple obstacles and lots of fun.

The Delta Dash 5K, sponsored by the Young Professionals of the North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce, will take place Sept. 24 at Lower Bryant’s Landing. The race covers three miles of wooded terrain where several obstacles will be encountered such as a mega slip and slide, a challenging mud crawl, detours off of the main trails through a creek, scaling hay bales, incline ramps, walls and much more.

The event is staged in the upper Delta and the obstacles will all take place on land provided by John Sutton and Hooper Matthews.

Now in its 5th year, nearly 2,000 people have taken part in the Delta Dash helping to raise more than $70,000 for educational programs in the area.There event also includes music, food and fun for everyone, runners and their families.
