Dorothy Ann Schermer, age 74, died peacefully in Mobile, Alabama, May 15, 2018, after a long illness.
She was born in Fairhope, Alabama and was a longtime resident of Marietta, Georgia.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Lula and Alton Schermer of Fairhope.
She is survived by her sister, Alice Arnold; nieces, Alisa Curran and Suzy Vekemans; great-niece, Bella Vekemans; and great-nephew, Billy Vekemans; many cousins and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, on Friday, May 18, 2018, from 7 until 8 p.m.
Interment will be at the Confederate Rest Cemetery in Point Clear at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
