A car loaded with drugs was seized from a transport vehicle during a routine traffic stop Tuesday approximately two miles east of the Wilcox Road exit of Interstate 10.

According to a release issued Tuesday by the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit, officers seized 35 pounds of processed marijuana, 600 THC Vape cartridges and 23 packages of THC edibles with a wholesale value of around $125,000 from a car on a hauler Tuesday near the 55-mile marker of I-10.

After a K-9 officer alerted to one of the vehicles, deputies searched the car and found the items, according to the release.

The vehicle was picked up by the transport company in the San Francisco Bay area of California and was being transported from the West Coast to Florida.
