Eleanor Glover Walker

Eleanor Glover Walker died April 6, 2018 at Arbor Acres in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

The daughter of James Larkin Glover and Bernadine Miller Karch, she was born July 21, 1936 in Florence, South Carolina.

Eleanor graduated from Baldwin County High School and the University of South Alabama with a B.A. in English. She worked for Eastern Airlines, Greenville Technical College, Kennesaw State College and the Greenville County Library System.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Lamar Walker.

Survivors are her three daughters, Sharon Hansen and her husband, Steve, of Wilmington, Delaware, Leigh Thompson and her husband, Bruce, of Marietta, Georgia and Bonnie Flythe and her husband, Jimmy, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. In addition, she is survived by six grandchildren, James Thomas Flythe III, Lowell Walker Flythe, Henry Woodrow Flythe, Kathryn Danielle Hansen, Darby Janine Thompson and Paige Aileen Thompson.

The family would like to thank the Arbor Acres staff, especially those who work in Arborview, for the care and kindness extended to Eleanor during her time there.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 14 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church.

The family will receive friends following the service at the Flythe home.
