Erle Stanley Levens, 86, of Daphne, Alabama, passed away Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019 in Daphne, Alabama.
Erle was born in Fort Myers, Florida to Mary Magdalene and Floyd Lee Levens. He attended high school in Fort Myers, Florida. He later attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
He worked in management for Sears Roebuck for 42 years. After retiring, he later worked part time for Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
He enjoyed football and most other sports, watching his favorite television programs and spending time with his family and church friends.
Erle was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Magdalene and Floyd Lee Levens of Fort Myers, Florida; his brother, Corbett Eugene Levens of Fort Myers, Florida.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Levens of Daphne, Alabama; their son, Andrew Erle (Christina) Levens and granddaughter, Kylee Levens; son, Mark (Carol) Levens of Georgia; daughter, Cynthia (Paul) Gordon of Memphis, Tennessee; eight grandchildren; brother, Floyd Lee Levens of Jacksonville, Florida; sister, Frances Marie Hansen of Fort Myers, Florida; other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, on Monday, Jan. 14, 2019 from 5 until 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019 at 10 a.m., with Rev. A.B. Sawyer from First Baptist Church Fairhope officiating.
Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church Fairhope, Children's Building Fund.
