Eulalie "Lee" Leighton Masterson Duffill, a longtime resident of Baldwin County, died in Mobile on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2019.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Philip and Rella Leighton; and brother, James Glennon Leighton; all of Fairhope, Alabama.

She is survived by her husband, Brian Monroe Duffill of Fairhope, Alabama; and three children, Jason (Andrea) Masterson of Dahlonega, Georgia, Kevin (Maria) Masterson of Fairhope, Alabama and Julia Masterson (Michael) Shea of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; grandchildren, Tyler Glennon (Caitlin) Masterson, of Louisville, Kentucky, Kevin Masterson II of Mobile, Alabama, Charles Leighton Masterson of Fairhope, Alabama, Carlos Michael Shea and Matthew Leighton Shea of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; brother, Philip (Sandra) Leighton of Bedford, Texas; niece, Sara (Greg)  Ameringer of Cypress, Texas; and nephew, Wayne (Elizabeth) Leighton of Alexandria, Virginia.

Mrs. Duffill was a graduate of Bishop Toolen High School and attended Spring Hill College.

She worked in real estate and the mortgage industry in Mobile, and was a branch mortgage manager for Collateral Investment Co. in Mobile for 10 years. She was a charter member of the Mobile Mortgage Lenders Association, and member of the Mobile County Board of Realtors.

In 1970, she obtained her real estate broker's license and went to work for Wilson & Yeager in Fairhope. In 1985, the firm became Yeager & Masterson until it was purchased by Dauphin Realty of Mobile in 1992.

During her career in real estate, Mrs. Duffill was an active member of the Baldwin County Association of Realtors, holding numerous offices, including president in 1980 and 1981. She was awarded the prestigious "Realtor of the Year" in 1980 and again in 1982. She retired from real estate in 1996.

Mrs. Duffill was active in numerous civic and charitable organizations, including the American Cancer Society and American Heart Association, and was a lifetime member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, Joe Birindelli Chapter, and was a devoted volunteer at the Haven for Animals for several years where she helped with adoptions, fundraisers and socializing animals.

She and her husband, Brian, were the proud parents of four adopted dogs over the years. She was an avid gardener, and she and Brian traveled extensively and enjoyed spending time at their summer home in New Hampshire and their log cabin in Mentone, Alabama.

Visitation will be held from Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, Monday, Dec. 16, 2019, from 5 until 7 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church in Daphne on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2019, at 10 a.m.

A private interment will be held at a later date in Montrose Cemetery.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Haven for Animals, Christ the King Catholic Church Building Fund, Baldwin County Animal Shelters or a charity of your choice.
