A single-vehicle crash at 10:04 p.m. Saturday, July 1, has claimed the life of a Bon Secour man. Julian Derek Cherry, 32, was killed when the 2006 Toyota Tundra he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree. Cherry, who was not using a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred on Baldwin County 10 miles south of Foley. Although the circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation, preliminary investigation indicates alcohol may have been a factor in the crash. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
