Faye M. Jones

Faye M. Jones, a longtime resident of Perdido Beach, Alabama, died peacefully on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017 at her home.

Born in Atlanta, Georgia on Oct. 9, 1936, Faye spent her childhood in Jacksonville, Florida before moving to Pensacola, Florida as an adult.

Faye was an avid boater and fisherman and earned her 100-ton captain's sail and power vessel license. She was a lifetime member of Grande Lagoon Yacht Club and the 2004 Queen of the Bill Hargrave's Fishing Rodeo. Faye was also a past member of the U.S. Power Squadron.

Besides boating and fishing, Faye enjoyed gardening and going to the hunting camp with her beloved husband, Alvin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Geiger; mother, Betty McDougal; father, Ray McDougal; and her stepson, Alvin Jones Jr.

She is survived by her husband of 20-plus years, Alvin Jones; sons, Ronald Geiger and Robert Hastings; stepsons, Terry Jones (Stephanie) and Ron Jones (Charlotte); daughters, Evelyn C. Hayslette (Kenneth) and Michelle Scott (Brian); grandchildren, Troy Seay, Felicia Herring, Lacy Sullivan, Candice Jones, Chas Jones, Tyler Scott and Tori Kitrell.

A private memorial service will be announced at a later date.
