FOLEY - The Kiwanis Club of Foley will be holding its first ever Poker Run this year! Previous years have seen The Kiwanis Club of Foley and the Foley Lion’s Club partnering for the Le Tour de Foley. This year, the Foley Lion’s Club will be offering a Le Tour de Foley Flex Ride and the Kiwanis Club will bring the Poker Ride to the area.

The Poker Ride will take place on Saturday, Oct. 3. The ride will begin and end at Heritage Park, with registration beginning at the park at 9 a.m. and the ride beginning at 10. All licensed bikes and riders are welcome to participate.

There will be a total of five stops during the ride, including beginning and ending at Heritage. Other stop locations will be disclosed at the time of check in at the park. One card will be presented at each stop location. Riders must check in at each designated stop to be eligible to win prizes. Riders must return to stop five at Heritage Park by 3 p.m., when awards and prizes will be given out.

Entry fees for the event are as follows: $40 for driver, $20 for passenger, $20 for the purchase of additional hands. Riders will be playing five card draw, and can exchange up to three cards at $5 per card. Original cards will be turned back in at the time of exchange. There will be a 50/50 drawing available.

At the end of the race, the best hand will win $300, second place will win $200, and third place will win $100. Riders will receive $25 if they find a Joker card.

All proceeds and donations will be used to support the youth of the Foley community. Event pre-registration can be found at https://foley-kiwanis-club-poker-run.gator.site or contact Russ Morrison at 859-771-6091/email foleykiwanisclub@mail.com.
