FOLEY - The Foley Public Library is ready to get some programs back up and running. The staff has missed all their smiling patrons who come in to participate in the library’s many programs and events. Looks like it is time to “Come On Back!” for three different programs in May 2021.

On Thursday, May 6, 4 - 5 p.m., the library will host its STEM/STEAM based Makersaurus Time for children ages six through 16 with a parent or guardian. This will be held in the upstairs meeting room of the library. Reservations are required to attend this program as space and supplies are limited. Please call 251-943-7665 to reserve a spot for you and your child/children to attend. Family groups will be spaced six feet apart and masks are encouraged.

On Wednesday, May 12, 4:30 - 6 p.m., at the Heritage Park Gazebo, the library will host a meeting of the Doki Doki Anime Club. This is an invitation only event. Invites will be sent by email and the first 25 to respond will be contacted to attend. This is for young adults ages ten through 18 who are already signed up as members of the Doki Doki Anime Club. Should you be interested in more info on the Doki Doki Anime Club, please email mschnieders@cityoffoley.org.

On Saturday, May 15, 9:30 - 11 a.m., the library will host an Adult Art/Craft Class. The project will be Mardi Gras Bead Art and the class will be held in the upstairs meeting room of the library. Attendees are asked to bring any extra Mardi Gras beads they have on hand plus a hot glue gun if they have one. Reservations are required to attend this class and attendees will each have a six-foot table to themselves. Please call 251-943-7665 to reserve a spot.

For more information on any of these programs or any of our other services, please call the library or visit our website at www.foleylibrary.org. You can also check out the library’s Facebook page.
